BISD Graduation Plan - Delay, Delay, Delay, Postpone if Necessary

BISD Graduation Plan - Delay, Delay, Delay, Postpone if Necessary
This is the image for the news article titled BISD Graduation Plan - Delay, Delay, Delay, Postpone if Necessary The Brazosport and Brazoswood graduation ceremonies are currently planned to continue as scheduled at 7:30 p.m. at Hopper Field. If it is raining at the time of graduation, but still safe to be outdoors the ceremony will continue as scheduled. BISD administrators will monitor the weather closely. If it becomes unsafe to be outdoors, students will be moved to the John Magee Performance Center at Brazosport High School (across from Hopper Field). The Brazosport High School gymnasium and cafeteria will be open for parents and other guests to wait out the weather. Updates will be communicated every 30 minutes on BISD, Brazosport and Brazoswood high school Facebook pages and via email to the parents of graduating seniors who have an email address on file with the district. If the weather continues to be unsafe a final decision will be made at approximately 9:30 p.m. each evening to move the ceremony to the following day and students would be released to attend Project Graduation at that time. Brazosport’s graduation ceremony would be tentatively scheduled for Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and Brazoswood’s ceremony would be tentatively scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.  Again, these plans would be contingent on the weather being too unsafe to remain outside. We appreciate you celebrating this achievement with our students and look forward to seeing you at Hopper Field.
