District Selects SchoolMessenger Presence to Host New Website
Brazosport Independent School District has selected SchoolMessenger Presence to host a new district website, which will be launched for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year. District staff will work with SchoolMessenger over the coming months to design the new district, school and teacher webpages.
SchoolMessenger not only works with more than 55,000 schools across the country, they specialize in working with K-12 schools. SchoolMessenger recently purchased the webhosting product known as SharpSchool and has rebranded the product now known as Presence. BISD currently utilizes SchoolMessenger’s Communicate product for the call-out notification system and have been very pleased with the service and support received.
In addition to an updated design and increased functionality, switching to SchoolMessenger Presence will allow the district, schools and teachers to incorporate many features that are common to websites today including more intuitive navigation, videos, mobile/smartphone compatibility, photo galleries and much more.
This fall the Communications office spent many hours reviewing several options, researching alternatives and decided to commit to SchoolMessenger as the new district-wide website platform for 2016-17. “Updating our websites will impact students, parents, teachers, staff and improve online communication,” said Amber Casey, District Webmaster. “We felt SchoolMessenger had a lot to offer our district.”
