Immunizations Required for Incoming 7th Graders
This is the image for the news article titled Immunizations Required for Incoming 7th Graders Attention Incoming 7th Grade Student Parents: The State of Texas has immunization requirements for students enrolled in Texas public schools. These rules will affect students who will be entering 7th grade. All students are now required to have the following immunizations PRIOR to entry into 7th grade:
  • Meningococcal Vaccine (one dose)
  • Tdap Vaccine (one booster dose of tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis given within the last 5 calendar years)
Please contact your personal physician/health care provider or local health department for more information. If immunizations are given while your child is in the 6th grade, please provide the school nurse with a copy of the immunization report, prior to the end of the school year. This will ensure your child will have a smooth entry into 7th grade. If these immunizations are given over the summer, please provide record of immunization to the 7th grade nurse during 7th grade orientation/meet the teacher. Students will not be allowed to enroll in school or pick up their schedule for 7th grade until these immunization requirements have been completed. Thank you for your prompt assistance in this matter.
