Three Brazosport ISD FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams have each received $500 grants made possible by DOW. This generous grant will help cover the team’s competition entry fees, transportation for the team robots and additional materials needed for design and build of the competition robots.
BISD’s FLL teams competed in a regional qualifier back in December and scored high enough to gain eligibility to attend the Bayou City Tournament of Champions and Lone Star FLL Championship in Houston this February.
The BISD FLL teams receiving grants are comprised of 4th to 8th grade students who attend:
Lake Jackson Intermediate - 2 Teams
Rasco Middle School
SFA STEM Academy - 2 Teams
We are very excited about this new program and the opportunities it will provide our students.
Congratulations and Good Luck!
See attached News Release from DOW for more information about the grant or visit For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology for more about the FIRST programs.
