Six students from the Brazoswood Band, (left to right) Eric Hembling, Joseph Trahan, Daniel Ripplinger, Philip Marshall, Travis Bartholome, and Nathan Cloeter have earned All-State honors from the Texas Music Educators Association. The honor of All-State is earned by less than three percent of those who try out, with over 63,000 students beginning the audition process.
Most of these students have logged over 100 hours of individual practice.
The students participated in competitive auditions at the District, Region, and Area level to attain All-State Membership, which is the highest honor that a Texas music student can receive. These six students will audition, rehearse and perform with the other All-State musicians under the direction of nationally-known conductors for thousands of attendees at this year’s Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention in San Antonio February 10-13, 2016.
