General Information

Brazosport ISD Child Nutrition Services is proud to serve approximately 75% of Brazosport ISD students a healthy school lunch each day.  All school meals exceed the requirements for the National School Lunch Program.  Students at all grade levels are offered a variety of healthy meal choices each day. Breakfast and lunch are served daily at all Brazosport ISD campuses.

Free and Reduced Meals

Free or reduced price meals are available for students of families who meet the federal income  requirements.  Applications are available on the Brazosport ISD website and at each campus. For more  information about how to apply for free and reduced price meals contact Stephanie Perez in the Brazosport ISD Child Nutrition office at 730-7110 ext. 1.


Meal Charge Procedures

All campuses allow three lunch meal and three breakfast charges for students.  For a student that has exceeded the charge limit, a complimentary alternative meal may be provided as a service to the student.  A complimentary meal will be offered for any student who does not have meal funds.  Notice of charge procedures is provided to students who reach a negative balance.  Students/parents are responsible for all accumulated meal charges.

Student Consumption of Meals...

To ensure the quality and safety of food and beverage items. all student meals should be consumed at the location they choose to eat their meal; cafeteria, classroom, picnic table.  Food items prepared in the cafeteria are at best quality when it comes directly off the serving line to the student's tray.  Food items and beverages not consumed (leftovers), should be disposed of.  Students may not save or take with the any leftover food.

In accordance with United States Department of Agriculture regulations, adults should not remove food items or beverages off of student trays.  In addition, adults should not consume food or beverages off of student trays.
