Congratulations to Celeste Powell, Brazosport High School junior who ranked in the top 5 in Lesson Planning and Delivery Arts at the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) State Competition qualifying her to compete at Nationals in Phoenix, Arizona on June 23, 2017. The State TAFE Conference, called the Teach Tomorrow Summit was held in Arlington, Texas February 16-19, 2017.
Celeste and Angel Arredondo, also a junior at Brazosport, competed together in Project Visualize in the area of Appreciation and received a second place ribbon, scoring an 89 out of 100 points. Angel Arredondo who competed alone in Bulletin Board Design received a second place ribbon, scoring an 88 out of 100 points.
The visibly excited sponsor for the group Jayme Peterson said, “This is the first year for Brazosport High School to have a recognized TAFE club on campus and compete. I’m so proud of these girls!”
Brazoswood High School also took qualified students to the Teach Tomorrow Summit and brought home awards in multiple categories. Results for Brazoswood are listed below:
