Due to the COVID UIL Regulations limiting contact between players, fans, and limited seating, this will be a different looking season. Masks will be required of ALL guests and appropriate social distancing will also be required. All fans must exit the gymnasiums before the teams will be allowed to leave, when each game ends.

Basketball Guidelines for Clute & Freeport Intermediate Schools:

  • Guests will wear masks in the stands when not eating and must have a mask on when entering the gym area

  • Guests must practice social distancing, 6 feet apart, if not with family 

  • All coaches must wear masks

  • Players must wear masks when on the bench or in the stands

  • Both Gyms: 

    • Teams will sit opposite the bleachers in chairs. The team not playing (i.e. A team during the B team game) will sit in chairs beside or behind the team that is playing

    • Gyms will be cleared of guests before the teams leave the courts. No contact between fans and players should take place until players have left the facility

  • Small Gyms: (7TH Grade Games - Tickets Available - 50)

    • Each home player shall be issued the online ticket link by the coach the day before the game to be able buy tickets for the game

    • There will be no other tickets available to the game

    • No visiting guests or students tickets will be available at the 7th grade game due to very limited seating

    • Every effort by security and administration will be made to make sure guests cannot enter/exit the gym and enter the other gym by side doors.

  • Large Gyms: (8TH Grade Games - Tickets Available - 175)

    • Each Home and Visitor player will be issued the online ticket link for that gym by their coach the day before (Friday for Monday or Tuesday game days) the game to be able to buy up to four, $3 tickets for the game

    • There are a total of 150 tickets available

    • Tickets not sold by 2pm game day, will be sold online only at the entrance

    • There will be no other tickets available to the game

    • The first 60 Clute or Freeport students with IDs, teachers, and Gold Card holders will be allowed in free at the 8th grade game

    • Every effort by security and administration will be made to make sure guests cannot enter/exit the gym and enter the other gym by side doors.  


Basketball Guidelines for Lake Jackson Intermediate:

  • Guests will wear masks in the stands when not eating and must have a mask on when entering the gym area

  • Guests must practice social distancing, 6 feet apart, if not with family 

  • All coaches must wear masks

  • Players must wear masks when on the bench or in the stands


  • Gym: (240 tickets - 70 comps) 

    • Teams will sit opposite the bleachers in chairs. The team not playing (i.e. A team during the B team game) will sit in chairs beside or behind the team that is playing

    • Gyms will be cleared of guests before the teams leave the courts. No contact between fans and players should take place until players have left the facility

    • Each Home player shall be issued the online link to be able to buy up to 4 tickets to the game by their coach the day before the game. All tickets are $3 for the game (160 tickets)

    • Visiting players shall be given an online link by their coach the day before the game (Friday for Monday or Tuesday game days) to be able to buy two tickets for the game (80 tickets)

    • A total of 160 Home and 80 Visitor will be available - online only!!

    • The first 70 LJ students with IDs, Gold Card members and teachers will be allowed in free to the game
