Due to the COVID UIL Regulations limiting contact between players, fans, and limited seating, this will be a different looking season. Masks will be required of ALL guests and appropriate social distancing will also be required.

Basketball Guidelines for Brazosport High School:

• Guests will wear masks in the stands when not eating and must have a mask on when entering the gym area

• Guests must practice social distancing, 6 feet apart, if not with family 

• All coaches must wear masks

• Players must wear masks when on the bench or in the stands

• Seating in Performance Gym: 

  • Opposite of Bench Side of the gym will be all sections with odd rows marked off for home guests 

  • Bench-side will be split into 5 sections

    • Home players and opposing players will be in sections on end with odd rows marked off

    • Visiting guests will be in the middle three sections with odd rows marked off

  • UIL guidelines are specific that players shall not be exposed to or be in close contact with guests/fans

• Seating in Gym B:

  • Bench-side seating is for competing teams only (One section may be overflow for guests)

  • Opposite of the bench seating is for all fans only, socially distanced

• Tickets:  (All tickets will be $4.00)

  • Visiting teams will be given link for 100 tickets

  • Home team will be given link for 150 tickets

  • Each person entering must have an online  ticket 

  • Tickets gain admittance to both gyms (Varsity and Sub Varsity)

  • No one enters without a ticket  (There will be 50 comp tickets for Gold Card members, teachers, and students with Bport ID

• Moving Teams:

  • Teams shall not have contact with fans/guests

  • A coach or BISD security will be assigned to escort visiting teams to locker room areas once they arrive

  • Once teams have completed play in Gym B, guests will exit the gym area  through the same door they entered and shall walk around to the entrance to the main gym for the varsity game. (This will assure that fans are not allowed in the team or classroom area)

• Performance Gym Seating: 

  • No one will sit in the first two rows, on the bench side!

  • Opposite of the bench side will have odd rows marked off for home guests and students, only

  • Bench side will be split into 3 sections

    • Home players and opposing players will sit on each ends 10 feet from guests

    • Visiting fans will sit behind scorer table with odd rows marked off

  • UIL Guidelines are specific that players shall not be exposed to or be in close contact with guests/fans

• Tickets: 

  •  Fans will enter for the Varsity/JV and Freshman games in the Performance Gym through the main gym entrance                                                  

  • Visiting teams will be allotted 100 tickets on the bench side

  • Home team will be allotted 200 tickets on the opposite bench side.

  • All ticket sales will be online, and will be $4.00, each

  • Each person entering must have an online ticket and be wearing a MASK 

  • Tickets gain admittance to Performance Gym (Varsity and Sub Varsity), only

  • No one enters without a ticket  (There will be 100 comp tickets at the gate, first come first serve, for administration, Gold Card members, Bwood teachers and Bwood students with IDs 

• Gym B Seating:

  • Bench side seating is for visiting fans only - 

  • Opposite of the bench seating is for home fans only, socially distanced

  • Team not playing (ie: B team while A team is playing) will sit in chairs behind the team that is playing, 12 feet from the bleachers

• Tickets:

  • Fans will enter for the JV B and the Freshman B games in the back gym through the entrance to the 9th Grade campus by the flagpole

  • 60 tickets will be sold for the bench-side bleachers (visiting guests/fans) 

  • 60 tickets will be sold for the opposite bench side (home guests/fans)

  • Seating on every other row only, with social distancing, Masks required

  • If there is more than one game to be played, then the gym will be emptied between games by security and a different ticket will be required for the second game

  • All tickets will be $2.00, for each game

  • Tickets to Gym B will not allow guests to enter the Performance Gym, which will have online tickets, only

• Moving Teams:

  • Teams shall not have contact with fans/guests

  • A coach or BISD security will be assigned to escort visiting teams to locker room areas once they arrive

  • Once teams have completed play in Gym B, guests will exit the gym area  

  • Once guests have left the gym area and the corridor is cleared, teams will be escorted to the Performance Gym, on the bench side, to either be seated or to exit the gym to a waiting bus
