Brazosport ISD is pleased to announce that Mr. Quinton Virgil will be the new principal of Brazosport High School beginning immediately. Mr. Virgil comes to us from Manvel High School in Alvin ISD, where he served as the Associate Principal. He is an experienced administrator with a background in supporting diverse schools and will bring a great deal to the campus.
Mr. Virgil will tell you that he was led to education after graduating from Lamar University with a degree in Accounting. He was called to pursue a career in education as a math teacher and coach. Virgil later attended the University of Houston-Victoria where he received his Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Instructional Leadership. He has 16 years of experience and has spent the last seven years as a campus administrator.
Mr. Virgil is a husband and father of two boys who believes in living a balanced life. He grew up in an athletic family that cultivated his competitive spirit with many life lessons, specifically, the ability to persevere and overcome adversity. He is an avid golfer, enjoys biking, reading, and watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Mr. Virgil stated, “I am humbled at this new assignment as the Principal of Brazosport High School, where my family’s legacy goes back 40 years. I look forward to leading Brazosport with each student’s best interest at heart, welcoming the support and partnerships of the community, and committing to do whatever it takes for each student to succeed.”
