Coach Sincere is completing his third year as the football Special Teams Coordinator and Head Track Coach at Brazosport High School.

“Coach Sincere has proven his abilities to build positive relationships with players, while also holding them accountable for high expectations on and off the field,” stated Brazosport ISD Superintendent Danny Massey. “Richard Sincere’s personal values, his strong faith, and his belief that using athletics as a platform to make players better athletes, better students, and better people, align perfectly with the mission of Brazosport ISD athletics.”

“Coach Sincere has earned the respect of our Exporter players, staff, and community during his time at Brazosport High School, and I am extremely excited to work closely with him in his new role as Head Football Coach and Campus Athletic Coordinator,” said Brazosport High School Principal Quinton Virgil.

Coach Sincere is completing his third year at Brazosport High School. He previously coached at Galveston, Brazoswood, and Belton. Sincere earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2014 from Sam Houston State University. While at Sam Houston, Sincere was named a 1st team Football All-American, selected as the Offensive Player of the Year, and was chosen as the team’s captain, leading his Bearkats to two National Championship games.

“Brazosport ISD is an exceptional school district, and I am passionate about creating successful opportunities and using athletics as a vessel to teach students life lessons to help them be successful productive citizens. There is a sense of school and community pride in Freeport that make Brazosport High School a very special place,” expressed Coach Sincere.

Coach Sincere is replacing Mark Kanipes, who announced his retirement recently this year. Under Kanipes, the Exporters earned four straight playoff berths.

BISD Athletic Director Jay Zeller shared, “The position had over 45 applicants, and after a rigorous selection process, Coach Sincere emerged as the top candidate among many excellent contenders. Coach Sincere is a great fit for Brazosport High School and for our Freeport community.”
