Brazosport ISD is excited to announce that the construction for Brazosport High School's CTE Center will begin in March of 2023 with the final completion in December of 2024.
It is an exciting time for Brazosport High School as new welding and construction labs will be built, as well as Cosmetology being added to the list of Program of Studies for Brazosport High School. The renovation will take place in phases and will begin with the start of the labs and renovation of existing infrastructure.
Each classroom will provide appropriate lab spaces and equipment to support the learning of Brazosport High School students. Beginning the 2023-2024 school year Brazosport High School will offer the following program of studies:
- Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources
- Architecture and Construction
- Graphic Design & Multimedia Arts
- Arts, Audio/Video Technology and Communication
- Business, Marketing, and Finance Education and Training
- Health Science
- Hospitality and Tourism (Culinary)
- Human Services (Cosmetology)
- Advanced Manufacturing and Machinery Mechanics (Robotics)
- Welding
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
Brazosport ISD collaborates with industry partners to ensure that we are providing students with the skills necessary for both the students and the companies who hire them. Through the major giving campaign, industry partners have invested to help guarantee not only that our current students have the programs necessary for the current labor market, but they have invested to secure future needs for preparing our students for jobs that do not currently exist. We know that in 10, 15, or 20 years from now the labor force will continue to adapt and change with technology and careers will evolve. With these investments, BISD will have the flexibility to adjust to the needs of the community and continue to develop the workforce of the future.
