Her essay, Charlie Brown: A Life to Remember, detailed his life as a former slave, his contributions to Brazoria County, and as the first African American millionaire in Texas.

Behind Gabriele's success stands her dedicated teacher, Ms. Lee Ann Johnson (pictured left), who played a pivotal role in encouraging her to participate in the contest. Ms. Johnson's guidance and mentorship undoubtedly contributed to Gabriele's stellar performance, highlighting the importance of supportive educators in nurturing young talent.

As she proudly accepts her prize money and certificate, Gabriele serves as an inspiration to her peers, demonstrating the rewards of hard work, determination, and a love for learning.
