Haley Hughes
Haley Hughes is set to graduate from Brazoswood High School soon, and those who know her describe her as a dedicated individual who gives her all to everything she does. She has proven to be a true servant leader, always showing up and putting in 100 percent effort for her show teams, friends, coaches, and teachers. Over the past four years, Haley has worked tirelessly to improve herself and those around her, and has made the most of every opportunity presented to her. In the fall, Haley will be attending Blinn College on an athletic scholarship to play softball, with plans to eventually transfer to a university where she can continue to play softball at the highest level possible while pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian.

- Art: Fall 2021 Artwork received Reserve best of show at Brazoria County Fair and made auction, Fall 2022 Artwork received Best of Show at Brazoria County Fair and made auction
- FFA: 2020 Brazoria County Fair - 2nd place holland lop rabbit in his class, 2021 Brazoria County Fair - Caught a scramble calf, 2022 Brazoria County Fair - 2nd place heifer in her class in scramble show, commercial show, and breeding heifer show and her heifer made sale
- Major Shows: 2022 and 2023 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, 2023 Fort Worth Rodeo - 6th place heifer in her class, 2023 San Antonio Rodeo - 6th place heifer in her class
- Veterinary Science Career Development Event participation: Awarded Right Hand Award by her Ag Teacher for being her “right hand,” Awarded FFA Alumni Scholarship, FFA Graduation cord
- Softball: 3 year Varsity, 2 year starter, 2022 - 1st team all district catcher, 1st team all Southern Brazoria County catcher, Lady Buc Softball Top Buc, 2023 - 1st team all district outfielder, Lady Buc softball Best Offense award, Lady Buc Softball Top Buc
- Powerlifting: 2021 - Regional qualifier, 2022 - 2nd place at Regionals, 12th at State, 2023 - 2nd place at Regional, Broke Regional Deadlift Record, 3rd place at State
- Academic: 2022 - Softball Academic All District, 2023 - Powerlifting 2nd Team Academic All State, Softball Academic All District, Academic All State Honorable Mention
- Blood Donor: Haley has been a blood donor for the last four years and will have a blood cord when she graduates.
