Brazosport High School senior, Boston Owens, has been named the Salutatorian of the class of 2023. In addition to his high academic achievements, Boston is also a standout student athlete, lettering in four sports: football, tennis, soccer, and golf. He was 1st team All-Academic in all four sports, and is a 2-time District Champion and Regional Qualifier in tennis. Boston is also a member of the National Honor Society.

Boston took full advantage of the BISD Dual Credit program, graduating Magna Cum Laude in May of 2022 with an Associate of Science degree while only a junior in high school. He was also inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society from Brazosport College.

Boston has given back to the community by volunteering with the Brazosport LULAC organization, Salvation Army, and Brazosport High School. He plans to continue his academic journey at Texas A&M in College Station this Fall, where he will pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.

Boston is the son of Brock and Beatriz Owens, both teachers in BISD.
