In light of Brazosport Independent School District's pioneering role in setting benchmarks for Safety and Security protocols within the Region and State, an invitation was extended to Mr. Jay Whitehead, Deputy Superintendent of Administrative Services, and Mr. Ty Morrow, Director of Safety/Security and Emergency Management to present at the Centegix Crisis Alert Customer Panel in San Diego.
Representing three school districts, including one from California and Aldine ISD from Texas, the selection of BISD was predicated on our proven leadership in safety. BISD’s presentation addressed key inquiries from the panel, encompassing the rationale behind implementing the Centegix Crisis Alert, the strategic choice of Centegix over competitors, the system's successes or failures, collaborative processes involving stakeholders, and reception feedback from district leadership, teachers, security and other staff members. Moreover, the pair shared instances where the Crisis Alert System potentially played a life-saving role.
In responding to each question, Whitehead and Morrow provided synchronized and detailed insights, establishing a clear correlation between Centegix's solution and BISD's safety and security protocols. The presentation effectively demonstrated the alignment between BISD best practices and the motto of the Centegix Crisis Alerts system: "When time is of the essence."
Whitehead and Morrow received high commendation from the audience and event organizers, who articulated that BISD had significantly distinguished itself, capturing the spotlight with their comprehensive and impactful presentation.
