Brazosport ISD and Brazosport High School are happy to announce that Coach Jordan Rose will take the gym as the new Exporter Basketball Coach. Mr. Rose brings 9 years of coaching high school athletes, most recently as the Varsity Assistant at Dawson High School in Pearland. Coach Rose has had experience establishing positive school and athletic cultures through building trust and setting goals to develop and mentor young men into positive and productive members of society.
Coach Jordan Rose said that he’s watched the Exporter basketball program during his time coaching at Dawson High School in addition to his firsthand experience when he played basketball for LaMarque High School. “I have always admired the Brazosport teams’ innate toughness, their collective mindset to win, and their abilities to handle adversity on and off the court,” expressed Coach Rose. The tradition and history of Brazosport and the amazing facilities appealed to him in seeking to steer the ship of the Exporter basketball program.
“You can tell that the Brazosport community holds the schools and the students in high regard by the facilities they have built and maintained in recent years. You can see that the community supports what’s best for the kids,” he stated, with his top priorities being to build relationships with Brazosport students and the Freeport community. Jordan shared that he looks forward to working with the parents and the Brazosport community. “I just can’t wait to get there and get started!”
Coach Rose holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and a master’s from Lamar University. Jordan is married to Ashley Rose, a nurse practitioner, and they have two beautiful young ladies, Ruby and Riley. The Exporters are excited to have Coach Rose as their new head coach and look forward to building a great program under his leadership.
