Brazosport Exporters and BISD will be represented this year at the Texas UIL 4A Track and Field State Championship in Austin, Texas by two of our outstanding athletes.
Competing in the Triple Jump for the Lady Exporters will be sophomore Naliyah White and in the 100 meter dash will be senior Ahmasia Brown. Ahmasia was notified after the Regional Meet that she will also be competing in the 200 meter dash event as well as the “Wildcard” qualifier.
The state meet takes the top two in each event from the 4 Regional Meets (to make 8 automatic qualifiers) and then they take the fastest time that didn't auto qualify and that athlete is added to the field as the "Wildcard."
