Brazosport Independent School District’s Department of Special Services is excited to share the return of the “Building Our Future” Conference, set to take place on July 10 and 11, 2024. The conference will feature 59 comprehensive sessions spanning two days, aimed at equipping educators and staff with the latest tools, strategies, and knowledge to “Design & Construct Positive Student Outcomes.”

The “Building Our Future'' Conference provides valuable insights and professional development opportunities for all district staff, including general and special education teachers, paraprofessionals, specialized staff, and district administrators. District attendees will have the opportunity to participate in sessions on critical topics such as Social Skills, Dyslexia, Behavior Supports, Specially Designed Instruction, Assistive Technology, Social Emotional Learning, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and Transition Planning.

Conference Objectives:

  • Enhance Professional Skills: Equip educators and staff with effective strategies and practices to address the diverse needs of students.
  • Promote Collaborative Learning: Foster a collaborative environment for district staff to share insights and best practices.
  • Support Student Success: Empower staff with the tools to improve student outcomes in both general and special education settings.
