Brazosport ISD is excited to announce that Charolet Black has been selected as Principal of Freeport Intermediate School. Charolet is familiar with Brazosport ISD as she served as a teacher at Velasco Elementary and Director of Federal and Instructional Programs in BISD. After 12 years in BISD, she served as Director of Academic Services in Angleton ISD and Executive Director for Teaching and Learning in Sweeny ISD. Her most recent role was the Chief Human Resource Officer in Sweeny ISD.
BISD Superintendent Danny Massey states, “We are very familiar with Charolet’s outstanding educational leadership experiences and are proud to welcome her back to BISD. We believe she has the leadership abilities to continue the academic excellence at Freeport Intermediate School and ensure our students are provided outstanding learning experiences.”
Charolet earned a Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Houston and a Masters Degree in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University. She is also certified as a Gallup Strengths Coach and in Classroom Instruction that Works.
