We are excited to announce that Amber Sather has been selected as the next Head Softball Coach at Brazoswood High School. Coach Sather has served the last eight years as the Varsity Assistant Softball Coach at Brazoswood High School. Amber has spent those eight years working alongside and learning from one of the most successful High School Softball coaches in the nation, Coach Laura Oltman. Her contributions to the Lady Buc Softball program are evident and have played an integral part in the program’s success.
Coach Sather is a 2012 graduate of Kennedale High School where she excelled in softball, track, and powerlifting. After graduating from Kennedale, Amber played Division I college softball at Southern Louisiana University, where she set several records. After earning her degree, she landed in Brazosport ISD as a teacher and coach at Brazoswood High School. She has been the Varsity Assistant and poured into the Lady Bucs program since arriving.
“Having spent eight years at Brazoswood High School, Amber understands the high expectations for Brazoswood softball. She models the BUCS mantra: Bravery-Unity-Character-Service. She leads by example while building positive relationships with the athletes on and off the field. Her drive to be her very best is evident through her work ethic and attitude,” said Brazosport ISD Superintendent Danny Massey.
