Her journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, marked by numerous achievements and accolades. This year alone, Ava not only attended but also earned recognition at two prestigious national conventions, showcasing her talent in both journalistic writing and sports photography.

At the spring national convention in Kansas City, Ava's journalism talent was acknowledged as she led an extended two-hour session titled “What’s Wrong With Being Confident.” Here, she shared insights gained from her diverse roles in journalism, including serving as a national ambassador for Jostens Inc, Brazoswood’s yearbook publishing company, and her work as a sideline reporter for VYPE Houston. Additionally, Ava has collaborated closely with professionals at KHOU Houston, further enriching her experience in the field.

Ava will start her college career this summer at LSU and has currently made it to the fifth and final round of auditions for Tiger TV. She is the only freshman student to make it this far in auditions.

Ava's academic excellence and unwavering dedication to her extracurricular pursuits reflect her passion for advancing her career aspirations. As Ava’s journalism teacher, Lela Siegel, remarks, " Ava excels academically and in her extracurriculars due to her passion and dedication to furthering her career aspirations. I cannot wait to see where she lands, because I know it will be an amazing ride."
